Inspirations
I live in the Garden District of Monroe, LA, where most homes in the area have these simple awnings(check out the image below.) I have made drawings using this similar shape and form for a while now, but as I sat on my friend Cliff's porch the other day, I looked across the street and realized, yet again, an overlooked subtle inspiration. I am begining to believe that everything I am inspired by is located within one block of my home.

Steps in a painting.
I have decided to document my many stages of my painting process. If you notice the banner above and the first illustrator drawing (new drawings section) you will see my initial studies. I start by using illustrator and then exporting to flash, I then export the drawing back to illustrator and disect it for final export to vinyl cutter. finally I paint!!!! I am sure that when I finish it will look nothing like this. However the plant theme will be present.

Here are 3 examples of first few days process.

Thanks, Steve and Mare` Brennan
