Examples of "How to"
I am working on new work for a show called "How to" with Jay Gould at Louisiana Tech Enterprise center. We put our heads together and constructed this theme because of our love for information graphics. My interpretation of "how to" is combining instructional manuals from items I have purchased in the last year, most are household goods/appliances and childrens toys. I love that most items have pdf manuals online. It makes things a lot easier for me. I am taking pdf's and combining theme into collages, drawings, and paintings. I start with the pdf's put them into adobe illustrator and combine them to take on new morphs. I also am considering combining some of the signal concepts with this body of work. I am having fun

Steps in a painting.
I have decided to document my many stages of my painting process. If you notice the banner above and the first illustrator drawing (new drawings section) you will see my initial studies. I start by using illustrator and then exporting to flash, I then export the drawing back to illustrator and disect it for final export to vinyl cutter. finally I paint!!!! I am sure that when I finish it will look nothing like this. However the plant theme will be present.

Here are 3 examples of first few days process.

Thanks, Steve and Mare` Brennan
